The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
When Anne and Marco's six months old daughter Cora is kidnapped when they went to a dinner party next door everything becomes chaotic, as every secret and mystery of their family is slowly revealed when the investigation to find their daughter is carried out. When the detective suspects the very parents of the baby and more evidence starts to show up, the couple learns the hard way to trust nobody, not even their own family and each other because the last person you could think is behind this kidnapping is actually the mastermind of the entire operation.
I liked the plot and the characters but to me it was slow paced at the beginning and then it was fast paced and it went back and forth for a while and everything came together at the very end of the book and there wasn't a lot of explanation of the plot after that. The end is kind of a cliffhanger but I really liked the suspense/mystery of the book. Would definitely recommended this book!
